Xicoco Shamanic Arts"Xicoco" means "beehive" in
Nahuatl, one of the indigenous
languages of Mesoamerica. We
use this name because of the
similarities in the ways that Naguales
(Men and Women of Knowledge)
and bees work. While away from
the hive gathering pollen, bees
(Naguales) choose their own course
and fly as individuals, but remain
aware of each other in order to avoid
collision and work effectively. They
return to the hive with everything they
have gathered. Their combined efforts
produce honey--the sweet reward
that benefits them all.
