VIA LUMINOSA

The non-profit Tequihua Foundation hosts public shamanic rituals in Southern California. The rituals, entitled Via Luminosa, uses ambient electronic music and invocation by Central American Shaman Koyote to activate creativity and transform the awareness of participants.

Tequihua Foundation, a non-profit*, offers Via Luminosa as part of its special mission: to revitalize indigenous Toltec culture, not by preserving its external forms, but by invoking in contemporary participants the same feelings and atmosphere produced by the ancient ceremonies. "To do that, we use modern forms and technologies," explains Koyote. "Very few do what we are doing."

Koyote, originally from El Salvador, received transmission of the Toltec lineage from a distinguished Nagual in Mexico. In addition to possessing Shamanic knowledge, Koyote is an experienced practitioner of both the Western esoteric tradition and the "fourth way" schools derived from the Russian mystic Gurdjieff.
